I can’t believe how time flies, it’s already December 19! My wonderful grandfathers birthday ❤ I’ll buy some chocolate and a pretty flower and visit him and my grandmother tonight. Perhaps they have some homemade cookies and cake for me 😉
Det svenska mönstret till min snögubbe finns hos tidningen LAND, ni kommer till mönstret här >>
You’ll find the english pattern for my snowman if you scroll down a bit.

Pattern – Snowman Tree Ornament
Yarn: Scheepjes Catona in colors 105, 115,179, 412, and 503
Crochet hook: 3 mm
Extra: A little bit of filling
Abbreviations (US)
ch -c hain
mc – magic circle
st – stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
pop – popcorn, in this pattern you do a popcorn with 4 hdc in the same st, remove loop from hook, insert hook (from the front) between hdc 1 and hdc 2, put the loop back on the hook and pull through. Secure with a ch.
Good to know
– Pattern is crocheted in a spiral if nothing else is told. Mark the beginning of each round with a marker or a piece of yarn in a different color.
– 2i1 = increase, 2 sc in the same stitch.
– Repeat instructions between *-* around, if nothing else is told.
– Numbers in between () at the end of a round tells the number of stitches in that round.
Body, small circle (white, make 2)
- 6 sc in a mc (6)
- 2 sc in each st (12)
- *2in1, 1 sc* (18)

- *2in1, 3 sc* (30)
- 3 sc, *2in1, 4 sc* 5 times, 2in1, 1 sc (36)
- *2in1, 5 sc* (42)
- 1 sc in each st (42)
Body, big circle (white, make 2)
- 6 sc in a mc (6)
- 2 sc in each st (12)
- *2in1, 1 sc* (18)
- 1 sc, *2in1, 2 sc* 5 times, 2in1, 1 sc (24)

- 5 sc, *2in1, 6 sc* 5 times, 2in1, 1 sc (48)
- *2in1, 7 sc* (54)
- 1 sc in each st (54)
Cut yarn, secure ends.
Take the two big circles, with the backsides towards eachother, crochet them together (partly) with sc in BACK LOOPS only.
When you have crocheted 44 sc (10 st left), take the two smaller circles (backsides towards eachother) and continue crocheting in the BACK LOOPS with sc on the small ones.
Crochet 32 sc around the smaller circles, end with a sl st in the first st on the big circles.
Optinal – put some filling in the parts. I like it when they are a bit stuffed.
Time to close the gap between the circles. One side at a time.
Sew in the FRONT LOOPS to make the seam as invincible as possible. Begin in the outer edge where the circles meet and sew across to the other end. Make sure you don’t go through to the other side of the snowman. When you reached the other end, pull the needle through one st to the other side and sew that side close too. If you want to put in some more filling make sure to do so before you close the gap.
Secure the ends.
Arms (brown, make 2)
Chain 11. Begin in the 2nd st from the hook and crochet 1 sc in each st. Turn.
6 sl st, ch 5, begin in 2nd st from the hook, crochet 4 sc, then continue with 4 sl st on the first ch.
Cut yarn and secure the ends on the outer part of the arm. Use the beginning yarn to attach the arms to the body. Sew in the loops on the edge of the body.
Secure and cut.
Hat (red and green)
- With red; 6 sc in a mc (6)
- 2 sc in each st (12)
- 12 sc (12)
- 12 sc (12)
- With green; 12 sc (12)
- With red *2 sc, 2in1* (16)
- 16 sc (16)
- With green; *2 sc, 2in1* (20)
- With red; *2 sc, 2in1* (26)
- 26 sc (26)
- With green; *1 sc, 2in1*, sl st in the first st (36)
- 1 sc, 1 popcorn, 2 sc, *1 popcorn, 2 sc*, sl st to first st.
Cut yarn and secure. Leave one green and use it to sew the hat to the head.
Scarf (red and green)
- With red ch 46. Begin in 2nd ch from hook and crochet 1 sc in each st. Turn.
- With green, in FRONT LOOPS only; ch 1, 1 sc in each st. Turn.
- With red, in BACK LOOPS only; ch 1, 1 sc in each st. Turn.

- 2 sc in each st (6)
