Bunny rattle

Yarn: Scheepjes Catona color 509, scraps of pink and black for nose and eyes, white for the bowtie 
Hook-size: 
3 mm
Extra:
teething-ring, rattle, filling, scissors and needle to secure ends

Good to know
  • Crochet in a spiral, without ending the row with a slst, unless told otherwise. Feel free to use a piece of yarn in a different color to keep track of where the rounds begins/ends.
  • Instructions between *-* is repeated around or the specified number told.
  • Totalt number of stitches between () at the end of the row.

Head
1. 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
2. 2 sc in each st around. (12)
3. *1 sc, 2 sc in next st*, repeat *-* around. (18)
4. *2 sc, 2 sc in next st*, repeat *-* around. (24)
5. *3 sc, 2 sc in next st*, repeat *-* around. (30)
6. *4 sc, 2 sc in next st*, repeat *-* around. (36)
7-16. 1 sc in each st around. (36)
17. *4 sc, sc next 2 together*, repeat *-* around. (30)
18. *3 sc, sc next 2 together*, repeat *-* around. (24)

Fill the head, if you want a rattle it’s time to put it in the head. Continue filling during the rest of the rounds.

Cut yarn, leave a long end to close the opening and attach to the ring. 

Ear (make 2)

Cut yarn, leave a long end to attach the ear to the head. 

Rectangle
Crochet in rows, turn after each row.
Ch31.

1. Begin in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch, ch1. Turn. (30)
2-8. 1 sc in each st, ch1. Turn. (30)

Cut yarn, leave a long end to attach the rectangle around the wooden ring. 

Bow-tie
With white, ch11.
1. Begin in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch. Turn. (10) 
2-4. Ch1, 1 sc in BLO in each st. Turn. (10)

Cut yarn and secure the ends. Cut a piece, appr. 15 cm, place the little rectagle in the middle of the yarnpiece. Tie a knot (see picture) and then take the ends a couple of rounds around the center of the little rectangle, tie another knot to secure.

Assembly

  • Attach the blue rectangle around the wooden ring. It’s a tight fit. 
  • Attach the head on the rectangle, then the ears to the head. 
  • Embroider eyes and nose.
  • Attach the bow-tie, in the front center where the head and ring meet.
