Emilijas cozy pillow
Yarn: YarnArt Mink, 50 g/75 m, 4 skeins color 349, 1 skein color 330.
Hook size: 6 mm
Extra: pillow 50*60 cm (soft) or filling
Size pillow: appr. 23*47 cm
Abbreviations US
dc – double crochet
ch – chain
st/sts – stitch/stitches
slst – slipstitch
dc2tog – double crochet 2 together (decrease)
Good to know
- Ch3 for beginning dc on the round.
- End each round with a slst in first st (3rd ch of beginning 3).
- Repeat instructions between *-* around.
Pattern
1. Color 349. 6 dc in a magic circle. (6)
2. 2 dc in each st. (12)
3. *1 dc, 2 dc in next st*. (18)
4. *2 dc, 2 dc in next st *. (24)
5. *3 dc, 2 dc in next st *. (30)
6. *4 dc, 2 dc in next st *. (36)
7. *5 dc, 2 dc in next st *. (42)
8. *6 dc, 2 dc in next st *. (48)
9. *7 dc, 2 dc in next st *. (54)
Do not cut the yarn, between the rounds. Just pick it upp for each round inside the pillow. It’s time to crochet straight up and not increase anymore.
Crochet between the sts not in the loops.
10. Color 330. 1 dc between each st around.
11-17. Color 349. 1 dc between each st around.
18. Color 330. 1 dc between each st around.
19-25. Color 349. 1 dc between each st around.
26. Color 330. 1 dc between each st around.
27-33. Color 349. 1 dc between each st around.
34. Color 330. 1 dc between each st around.
35-41. Color 349. 1 dc between each st around.
42. Color 330. 1 dc between each st around.
Cut the white yarn and secure the end.
Before it’s time to decrease make sure you fill the tube you have crocheted or place the pillow inside the tube. I bought the cheapest pillow and rolled (folded) it from the longest side to the opposite long side.
Continue with the turqouise yarn.
Crochet in the loops again, not between the sts.
43. *7 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *.
44. *6 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *
45. *5 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *
46. *4 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *.
47. *3 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *.
48. *2 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *.
49. *1 dc, dc2tog across next two sts *.
50. *dc2tog across next two sts*.
Cut yarn, leave long end and sew the hole closed, then secure the end. I made two tassels and attached to the ends.
