Eternal Sunshine mandala

Yarn: La Mia Lux, 1 skein in colour Pink
Hook-size: 2,5 mm
Size: appr 32 cm

Good to know

Total number of stitches is found at the end of each row between (-).
Instructions between *-* is repeated around, if nothing else is told.
After some rounds the mandala might seem to need more stitches, this will sort itself out in the next couple of rounds.

Pattern

Ch6, slst in first ch to form a ring.

1. Ch1, 12 sc around the ring. End with a slst in first sc. (12 sc)

2. Ch4 (counts as the first tr), 1 tr in the same st, ch2, *2 tr in next st, ch2*, rep *-* around. End with a slst in the 4^th ch of beginning 4. (24 tr, 12 2-sp)

3. Ch3 (counts as the first dc), 1 dc in each tr and 2 dc in each chsp. End with a slst in the 3^rd ch of beginning 3. (48 dc)

4. Crochet in BLO. Ch2 (counts as the first hdc), continue with 1 hdc in each st around. End with a slst in the 2^nd ch of beginning 2. (48 hdc)

5. Ch2, dc2tog across next 2 sts, ch5, *dc3tog across next 3 sts, ch5*, rep *-* around. End with a slst to the top of dc2tog. (16 dcgr, 16 ch5-sp)

6. Slst in chsp, (ch2, dc2tog, ch3, dc3tog) in chsp, *ch1, 1 fpdc around dc3tog in prev round, ch1, (dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog) in chsp*, rep *-* around. In last repeat skip (dc3tog, ch3, dc3tog). End with a slst to the top of the first dc2tog. (32 dcgr, 16 fpdc, 32 ch1-sp, 16 ch3-sp)

7. Slst in chsp, ch3 (first dc), 1 dc in chsp, *1 dc in top of dc3tog from prev round, 1 dc in ch1-sp, sk fpdc, 1 dc in chsp, dc in top of dc3tog from prev round, 2 dc in next chsp, *, sk the last 2 dc’s on the last repeat. End with a slst in 3^rd ch of beginning 3. (96 dc)

8. Ch 2 (counts as first bpdc), continue with 1 bpdc in each st around. End with a slst in 2^nd ch of beginning 2. (96 bpdc)

9. Ch1, 1 sc in same st, continue with 1 sc in each st around. End with a slst in first sc. (96 sc)

10. Ch4 (counts as first tr), 1 tr in same st, ch2, sk 1 st, *2 tr in next st, ch2, sk 1 st*, rep *-* around. End with a slst in 4^th ch of beginning 4. (96 tr, 48 ch2-sp)

11. Ch3 (first dc), continue with 1 dc in each tr and 1 dc in each chsp around. End with a slst in 3^rd ch of beginning 3. (144 dc)

12. Crochet in BLO. Ch1, 1 sc in same st, continue with 1 sc in each st around. End with a slst in first sc. (144 sc)

13. Ch2, dc2tog across next two sts (counts as the first dc3tog), ch3, *dc3tog across next three sts, ch3*, rep *-* around. End with a slst in top of beginning dc2tog. (48 dcgr, 48 ch3-sp)

14. Slst in chsp, ch3, tc3tog in same chsp, ch1, 1 fptc around dc3tog from prev round, ch1, *tr4tog in chsp, ch1, 1 fptr around dc3tog from prev round, ch1*, rep *-* around. End with a slst in top of beginning tr3tog. (48 trgr, 48 fptr, 96 ch1-sp)

15. Ch3, 1 fpdc around tr4tog from prev round, *1 dc in ch1-sp, 1 dc in fptr, 1 dc in ch1-sp, 1 dc in top of tr4tog, 1 fpdc around same tr4tog*, rep *-* around. In last rep skip dc in top of tr4tog and fpdc. End with a slst in 3^rd ch of beginning 3. (192 dc, 48 fpdc)

16. Slst in fpdc, ch4 (first tr), 4 tr in same st, *ch2, 1 sc in next fpdc, ch2, 5 tr in next fpdc*, rep *-* around. Skip the 5 tr’s in the last repeat. End with a slst in 4^th ch of beginning 4. (24 trgr, 24 sc, 48 ch2-sp)

17. Ch2 (first hdc), *1 dc in second tr, (1 dc, pic, 1 dc) in third tr, 1 dc in fourth tr, 1 hdc in fifth tr, 2 sc in chsp, sc in sc, 2 sc in chsp, 1 hdc in first tr of the next group*, rep *-* around. End with a slst in 2^nd ch of beginning 2. (48 hdc, 96 dc, 24 pic, 120 sc)
